Nick's background

Nick was born on a Thursday...

On the 59th day of the Gregorian calendar, in the one thousand, nine hundred and eighty-fifth year after the birth of Christ, in New Orleans, Louisiana Nick began. Raised by his talented, loving, and open minded parents his creativity flourished from a very young age. Encouraged, supported, and quite obsessive, Nick aimed at mastering every endeavor introduced to him. At the age of fourteen he was sponsored by Humidity Skateboards in New Orleans, Louisiana for his talent and potential on a skateboard. Skateboarding, and the opportunities it presented introduced him to The American Dream, something which still very much intrigues and motivates him, and also familiarized Nick with the magical medium of Film, creating and staring in multiple skateboarding films. At sixteen, now beginning to write profusely, Nick used his poetry as a basis for music and lyrics he wrote for a band he played in called “Pull On Through.” The band proved to be doomed from its inception, and after numerous different members and years of strife they finally called it quits. In 2004, after one semester at the University of New Orleans as a music major, Nick studied at the University of Innsbruck in Austria, where he would discover his love for travelling as well as his interest in cultures abroad. In Innsbruck Nick’s creativity was driven by playing the double bass in the university’s orchestra, and collaborative writing with his older brother, Doug. After returning home, Nick realized that although New Orleans is indeed the finest city on the planet, and the center of his universe, it was also just a small part of a very large planet, and decided to move to Colorado. Nick transferred to Colorado State University in 2005, where he became an English major with a concentration in creative writing. Now, at twenty four years of age, Nick has been working, writing full steam with the support of his loving girlfriend Natalie Staples, with the intentions of establishing himself as an accomplished screen writer, while still on his way to mastering the genres of poetry and prose.
